Emmy Hennings
1885
―1948
Emmy Hennings (also Emmy Maria Ball-Hennings) was a writer, singer and artist and member of the Dada movement. She is part of the core members of the Cabaret Voltaire which also included her husband Hugo Ball, with whom she also had a daughter. There at the Cabaret she would perform often with Hugo Ball playing piano. Unfortunately much of her work is in the shadow of more prominent (and showy) men of the Dada time.
