Paul Klee was a painter, designer and teacher at the Bauhaus. As a member of the art avant-garde his works are famous for their humor and abstraction. Much of his work is connected with his biography and he explored a range of styles and techniques in his long career. He was close with the expressionist painter August Macke, and shared a master’s house with Wassily Kandinsky.
