cmThis enameled piece of metal is one of Moholy-Nagy’s ‘telephone paintings’. The idea was that Moholy-Nagy would call the enamel sign production company and give them precise instructions on placement, size and color of the rectangles, and then the enamel piece would be produced and shipped to him. A radical idea for the time, and one flirting with conceptual art.
