This letterhead for the Czechoslovak Werkbund (from Jan Tschichold’s collection, a fact which itself is interesting) is a splendid example of modernist typography and is likely influenced by members of the bauhaus. Classic proportions and a good hit of red, along with a highly functional design are als true to Sutnar’s design style. Sutnar lived in a modernist house built by the Czech Werkbund (Oldřich Starý), making him ideal to design for this Association.
